Birsen Bekgöz, 1980 yılında Berlin’de doğmuştur. Kısa mesafe koşucusu olan Birsen Bekgöz; 204-2005 yıllarında 200 metrede, 2004-2006 yıllarında 400 metre engellide, 2010-2013 yıllarından 400 metre engelli yarışlarında zirvede yer edinmiştir. 2004 yılında düzenlenen 400 metre engelli Cezmi Or Kupası’nda altın madalya, 2005 Akdeniz Oyunları’nda 4×400 bayrak yarışında bronz madalya kazanmıştır. İslam Oyunları’nda 4×100 metre bayrak takımında altın, 4×400 metre bayrak takımında ise gümüş madalya almıştır. Acun Ilıcalı’nın yapımcılığını ve sunuculuğunu yaptığı Survivor 2018 yarışmasında Gönüllüler takımında yer almaktadır.
