Cansel Elçin, 1973 yılında İzmir'de doğmuştur. Eğitimini Fransa'da Ecole Florent'te Tiyatro Eğitimi alarak tamamlamıştır. Fransa'da birçok yerde tiyatro oyunlarında yer alan Cansel Elçin; Ferhan Özpetek ile tanışarak Türkiye'de kariyerine devam etmiştir. 2005 yılında Kırık Kanatlar dizisinde rol alarak ilk televizyon deneyimini yaşamıştır. Hatırla Sevgili dizisi ile tanınmaya başlayan oyuncu; Eve Dönüş, Kötü Yol, Yalancı Bahar, Gönülçelen ve Cennetin Çocukları dizilerinde rol almıştır. Fox Tv'de yayınlanan; başrolü Ece Uslu ile paylaştığı Dayan Yüreğim dizisinde rol almakta ve Fuat karakterini canlandırmaktadır.
