Mahir Günşiray, 1960 yılı'nda İstanbul'da doğmuştur. Eğitimini Hacettepe Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Tiyatro Bölümü'nde tamamlamıştır. Daha sonra ise İngiltere Leeds Üniversitesi The Workshop Theatre'da Yüksek Lisans yapmış, Mimar Sinan Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Sahne ve Görüntü Sanatları Bölümü'nde Sanatta Yeterlik doktorası yapmıştır. Çilek Kokusu, Sürgün, Dila Hanım, İffet, Kaybolan Yıllar gibi bir çok proje de yer alan Mahir Günşıray; Star Tv ekranlarında yayınlanan; başrolü Nazan Kesal, Afra Saraçoğlu ve Deniz Baysal'ın paylaştığı Fazilet Hanım ve Kızları dizisinde rol almakta Hazım karakterini canlandırmaktadır.
