Mehmet Yılmaz Ak, 1986 yılında Diyarbakır’da doğmuştur. Eğitimini Kadir Has Üniversitesi Tiyatro Bölümü’nde tamamlamıştır. Birçok özel tiyatro da görev yapan Mehmet Yılmaz Ak, Beşinci Basamak adlı oyunu 2008 yılında yazmış ve Mitos Boyut yayınlarından misyon ödülü almıştır. Ben de Özledim dizisi ile televizyon dünyasına adım atmış; daha sonra Kırık Kalpler Bankası ve Nekro sinema filmlerinde rol almıştır. Show Tv ekranlarında yayınlanan; başrolü Çetin Tekindor, Bensu Soral ve Çağatay Ulusoy’un paylaştığı İçerde dizisinin kadrosunda yer almakta ve Yaşar karakterini canlandırmaktadır.
