Mert Yazıcıoğlu, 1993 yılında İstanbul’da doğmuştur. 3 Mota Eğitim atölyesinde oyunculuk dersleri alarak eğitimini tamamlamıştır. Dedemin İnsanları sinema filminde konuk oyuncu olarak yer almış ve ilk oyunculuk deneyimini yaşamıştır. Daha sonra Kayıp Şehir dizisinde oynamış ancak 2013 yılında kadrosuna dahil olduğu Karagül dizisi ile oyunculuğunu kanıtlamayı başarmıştır. Fox Tv yeni sezonunda yayınlanan Umuda Kelepçe Vurulmaz dizisinde Fırat karakterini canlandırmaktadır.
