Abdi Aktaş — Biography

Abdi Aktaş was born on May 1, 1975, in İzmir and is a retired Turkish footballer. He spent much of his playing career with Tavşanlı Linyitspor in the Kütahya region, where his long, loyal spell on the pitch earned him the nickname "Efsane Kaptan" ("Legendary Captain") among supporters and considerable respect from club management.

After hanging up his boots, Aktaş moved into club administration and coaching. He was appointed sporting director of Belediye Kütahyaspor in 2021, and in early 2025 he took up a role as assistant coach at Uşakspor.
