Abdülkadir Ömür — Biography

Born in 1999 in the Çarşıbaşı district of Trabzon, Abdülkadir Ömür is a Turkish international known for playing as an attacking midfielder or winger. He started out with school teams before joining Trabzonspor's youth academy, where he won age-group titles and signed his first professional contract in 2015, quickly breaking into the senior side. His technical ability and vision drew attention beyond Turkey, and he was repeatedly linked with moves to major European clubs.

After years as a key player for Trabzonspor, including a league title, Ömür eventually moved to England to join a club there. During that spell he returned to Turkey on loan spells with more than one Süper Lig side, with injuries and form shaping parts of that stretch of his career. A regular presence for the Turkey national team as well, he has established himself as one of the country's better-known midfielders of his generation.
