Adnan Şenses — Biography
Adnan Şenses (21 August 1935, Bursa – 25 December 2013, Istanbul) was a Turkish classical music singer, lyricist, composer and actor.
He began his education in Ankara and continued it in the Karagümrük neighbourhood of Istanbul's Fatih district. He launched his singing career in 1956, became known through Ankara Radio where he worked for sixteen years, and appeared on the leading variety stages of his time.
As an actor he appeared in dozens of Yeşilçam films between the 1960s and the 1990s, among them Fakir Şarkıcı (1960), Boğaziçi Şarkısı (1966), O Ağacın Altında (1972), Ah Nerede Vah Nerede (1975) and Lunapark (1993), as well as the television series Taş Plaktan Bugüne (1989).
He died on 25 December 2013 in Istanbul at the age of 78, after battling stomach cancer for about three years.
