Ahmet Dursun — Biography
Ahmet Dursun was born on 25 January 1978 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, and holds dual Turkish-German citizenship; he played as a forward throughout his career. He came up through the SG Wattenscheid 09 youth system before moving to Kocaelispor in 1996, the transfer that launched his career in Turkey and eventually earned him caps for the Turkish national team.
His career peaked at Beşiktaş, where he played from 1999 to 2003 and won a league title. He also turned out for clubs including Adanaspor, Antalyaspor, Ankaragücü and İstanbulspor, as well as Tianjin in China and Khazar Lankaran in Azerbaijan, before retiring from professional football in 2014. He briefly returned to amateur football in 2016 and made his final appearances with Tokatspor in 2018 before leaving the game for good.
