Ahmet Şahbaz — Biography

Ahmet Şahbaz was born on 12 March 1991 in the Andırın district of Kahramanmaraş. The defender began playing football in 2004 with Kahramanmaraş BŞB, moved to the city's other club, Kahramanmaraşspor, in 2007, and signed his first professional contract in 2009 after two seasons in the youth ranks. He made his first-team debut on 9 December 2009 against Adana Demirspor, coming on for the injured Mustafa Acar, and became a regular starter in the 2010-11 season as the club was relegated to the Third League, scoring his first senior goal against Kırklarelispor that same season.

He moved to Beylerbeyi, a feeder club of Galatasaray, in 2011-12, then to Arsinspor in 2012-13, where he featured in a Turkish Cup run that included an upset win over Bucaspor. At Silivrispor in 2013-14, his displays in that season's Cup run, including a tie against Sivasspor, caught the attention of Sivasspor's sporting director Murat Erdoğan and coach Roberto Carlos, and he transferred to the club mid-season.

Later in his career he played for Second League side Kırklarelispor and TFF Third League club Talasgücü Belediyespor, and in 2021 signed a two-year contract with Serik Belediyespor. He has spent most of his career as a disciplined defender in Turkey's lower football divisions.
