Ahmetcan Kaplan — Biography
Ahmetcan Kaplan (born January 16, 2003, in Trabzon) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back and stands 1.89 meters tall. Having represented Turkey at U16, U17, U19 and U21 level, he has been on loan at Dutch Eredivisie club NEC Nijmegen from Ajax since the summer of 2025.
In February 2026 he revealed that he had turned down a transfer offer, and he later suffered an injury during a crucial match that season. Throughout the summer of 2026 he was repeatedly linked with a return to the Süper Lig, particularly to Trabzonspor, though as of the latest reports these talks had not yet produced an official transfer.
