Anıl Karaer — Biography

Anıl Karaer (born 4 July 1988 in Istanbul) is a Turkish footballer who plays in defence. He was trained in the youth department of Galatasaray, the same academy that had produced his father, the former footballer Sefer Karaer, making him a second-generation Galatasaray product.

Karaer took his first significant step as a professional on 24 June 2009, when he signed a two-year contract with Adanaspor.

The years that followed were spent largely in the second tier of Turkish football: he was registered with Bursaspor and moved to Adana Demirspor in August 2020, continuing to be used as a centre-back.
