Ankaralı Yasemin — Biography

Born Yasemin Aydın on September 4, 1979, in Ankara, Ankaralı Yasemin had to interrupt her education in middle school for financial reasons; her talent for singing emerged after she performed at a relative's wedding.

At the age of 17 she reached out to the producer of Ankaralı Turgut for support and released her debut album, Bende İsterem; she went on to record albums such as Sarışın Bombam, Geliyorlar Gidiyorlar, Hop Dedik Abi, Cepten Ara Beni, Anlayalım Abi, Tantana Yapma, Öpüversin Seni, Süper Ankaralılar, Ankara Klasikleri, Evlere Şenlik Eğlence and Nar Tanem, becoming one of the well-known names of the Ankara-style dance music genre.

Over the course of her career she has also appeared on television, taking part as a contestant on the Fox TV program Gardırop Savaşları.
