Aral Şimşir — Biography

Doğuhan Aral Şimşir was born on 19 June 2002 in Køge, Denmark. A winger who holds both Danish and Turkish citizenship, he came through the youth academy of FC Midtjylland before spending loan spells in Norway with FK Jerv and Lillestrøm SK.

Şimşir's parents trace their roots to the Turkish province of Sivas, which is why he wears the number 58 on his shirt, referencing the province's license-plate code. In July 2026 he moved to Süper Lig side Trabzonspor in a deal reported at roughly 13 million euros, one of the club's most closely watched signings in recent memory.

Earlier in his career he represented Denmark at youth level before switching allegiance to Turkey, going on to play for the Turkish under-21 side and later earning a place in the senior Turkey national team.
