Arda Güler — Biography

Born on 25 February 2005 in the Altındağ district of Ankara, Arda Güler is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder and winger. He began his career in the Gençlerbirliği youth academy before moving to Fenerbahçe's youth setup in 2019, signing his first professional contract in January 2021 and winning the Turkish Cup with the club in 2023. He made his senior international debut for Turkey in 2022, and in June 2023 became the youngest player to score for the Turkish national team in an official match, netting against Wales.

Güler joined Real Madrid in July 2023 on a six-year contract, and in his debut season with the Spanish club he won both La Liga and the UEFA Champions League. He was part of Turkey's squad at UEFA Euro 2024, contributing to the team's run to the quarter-finals, and he also represented Turkey at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Known for his vision and dribbling, Güler is widely regarded as one of the most talented young players in world football and has been recognized among UEFA's club football award nominees.
