Arif Can was born on 10 December 1990 in Bursa. Working as a model and also running his own business, he became known as one of the groom candidates on the matchmaking programme Kısmetse Olur, broadcast on Kanal D.

Emphasising his outspoken personality, Arif Can announced that he had come to the Kısmetse Olur house to meet the bride candidate Rabia. With his frank manner and his interest in Rabia, he became one of the programme's most talked-about contestants. A Sagittarius, Arif Can is 1.82 m tall.
