Aslı Sümen — Biography

Aslı Sümen was born on 17 September 1994 in Mersin and completed a business degree at Middle East Technical University, where she also competed for the school's ballroom dance club. After finishing runner-up at a 2017 beauty pageant, she was crowned Miss Turkey once the original winner, Itır Esen, lost the title over a social-media post about the 2016 coup attempt, and that November she represented her country at the Miss World final. She began acting in 2021 with the role of Tuğçe Dikman in Baht Oyunu, then played Ezgi Uysal in Erkek Severse, Ayşegül in Gülümse Kaderine — a series pulled after its fifth episode — and Hilal Koral in Ruhun Duymaz. Standing 172 centimetres tall, she is also known as a model and dancer. She married her British partner, Chris Bann, in Rome in the autumn of 2024.
