Atakan Arslan — Biography

Atakan Arslan was born on 27 August 1989 in Sivas. He studied at the School of Physical Education and Sports of Marmara University.

He took up combat sports at the age of 16 and became Muay Thai İstanbul Champion for the first time in 2007. Between 2007 and 2013 he won numerous İstanbul, Marmara and Turkish championships in kickboxing and Muay Thai; he became IFMA World third in 2010, IFMA Muay Thai World Champion in 2011 as the first Turkish athlete to bring home a gold medal, WMAO World Champion in 2012 and W.M.C Muay Thai World Champion in 2013.

In 2016 he competed on the Celebrities team in Survivor, presented by Acun Ilıcalı, and finished the competition as champion. In 2017 he played the character of First Lieutenant Zafer Yaman (Geveze) in the series Söz, broadcast on Star TV and starring Tolga Sarıtaş. He is married to Serap Korkmaz.
