Atakan Işıktutan — Biography

Atakan Işıktutan was born on 15 December 1994 in the Şişli district of Istanbul, though his family hails from Rize. He took up swimming as a child and spent his school years playing basketball, earning results at the Istanbul level. In 2013 he left basketball for CrossFit, where he went on to place first in his category at a 2018 competition and took second place in a rowing championship the same year. He graduated from Maltepe University's Department of Economics in 2016 and two years later began a master's degree in new media and journalism at Üsküdar University, alongside diction and acting lessons.

He entered acting with the 2016 series Paramparça and gained wide recognition the following year for playing First Lieutenant Oktay in Savaşçı, broadcast on Fox TV. Standing 1.91 meters tall, Işıktutan more recently joined a reality competition show as a replacement contestant.
