Aydın Kurtoğlu — Biography

Aydın Kurtoğlu is a composer, songwriter and singer working in pop music, and the son of the artist Cengiz Kurtoğlu. He grew up surrounded by music thanks to his father, and many people expected him to make arabesk, but he chose pop. He studied business, worked in the tourism sector and in 2013 took part with his father in the ATV competition Veliaht. In the summer of 2026 he released a new single, Sonundayız Yolun.

His first release was the single Köle in 2014, with a video; Nida Ünsal wrote its words and music, and the video was shot over three days at Orion Studios. In 2015 came his first EP, Hayırlı Günler, and his second single, Öptüm, both with videos; the Hayırlı Günler video was made in Berlin and Istanbul. That year he was nominated for best newcomer at the Kral Turkey Music Awards. He gained his first voice-acting experience as Grouchy Smurf in the musical Smurfs Live on Stage, which was shown in Dubai in January 2015 and at Istanbul's Zorlu Performing Arts Center in October 2015.

In 2018-2019 he released the singles Söz, Olay Ne (with Murat Joker) and Gururdan Gömlek, and in 2019 he was a featured artist on the song Deli Fişek on Ozan Doğulu's album 130 BPM Kreşendo. He put out Şahsiyet in November 2020, and in later years singles such as Zor Sensiz (with Tarık İster), Sayende in 2023, Hastane Önünde and Sana Rağmen in 2025.
