Aytek Genç — Biography

Aytek Genc (born 3 February 1966 in Ankara) is a Turkish-born footballer who built the bulk of his playing career in Australia. Regarded as one of the more technically accomplished figures of the Australian National Soccer League (NSL) era, he made more than 350 appearances over a 15-year professional career, turning out for clubs including Parramatta FC and Sydney United 58. He also earned three caps for the Australian national team and spent five years playing in Malaysia with Johor FC.

After his playing days, Genc moved into coaching, taking charge of clubs in Australia’s state-league football scene.
