Bülent Şahinkaya — Biography

Bülent Şahinkaya (1948, Trabzon – 29 June 2009, Istanbul), nicknamed “Küçük Bülent”, was a Turkish footballer who played as a midfielder.

He played for Trabzonspor and captained the team when the club was promoted to the Süper Lig for the first time in its history.

Regarded as one of Trabzonspor's legendary captains, he died in Istanbul in 2009; the club commemorates him each year on the anniversary of his death.
