Bülent Uzun

Bülent Uzun — Biography

Bülent Uzun is a left-back who came through Beşiktaş's youth system and has built his career largely in Turkey's lower divisions. He played for Turkey at under-15, under-17 and under-19 level, and today he plays in defense for TFF 2. Lig side Kahramanmaraş İstiklalspor.

He started in football at Beşiktaş in 2003 and spent five years in the club's youth setup. He reached the A2 side in 2006-07, and in 2007-08, while still with A2, head coach Jean Tigana took him into first-team training. He made his senior debut on 19 January 2008 against Kasımpaşa, coming on in the closing minutes, and stayed mostly on the bench in the following weeks. With first-team chances limited, loan spells followed: a year at Kasımpaşa in 2008-09, when the club was in the 1. Lig, and the second half of 2009-10 at Kocaelispor.

When his Beşiktaş contract ended ahead of 2010-11, he signed a two-year deal with Eyüpspor, and he has also played for Yeni Malatyaspor. In January 2023 he joined Sakaryaspor, where he became one of the regular defenders and, in December 2024, said in a press interview that Sakaryaspor deserved a place in the Süper Lig. In August 2025 he moved to Kahramanmaraş İstiklalspor.
