Burhan Sargun — Biography
Born on 11 February 1929 in Ankara, Burhan Cahit Sargın was a Turkish former international footballer who played as a center forward. He spent most of his club career at Fenerbahçe across two spells, from 1951 to 1956 and again from 1960 to 1961, scoring a total of 112 goals in the yellow-and-navy shirt. His prolific scoring rate and dynamic style of play earned him the nickname "Canavar Burhan" (Burhan the Monster) among fans.
Capped eight times for the Turkey national team, for which he scored seven goals, Sargın delivered his most memorable performance at the 1954 FIFA World Cup finals, netting a hat-trick against South Korea.
