Caner Osmanpaşa — Biography

Caner Osmanpaşa, born in Trabzon on 15 January 1988, is a Turkish footballer who plays as a centre-back and stands 1.82 m tall. The Wikipedia articles attach him to three different clubs - Kocaelispor in German, Çorum in Turkish, Sarıyerspor in English - because each was written at a different moment; the most recent Turkish reporting points to Sarıyerspor.

Anadolu Agency called him Akhisarspor's indispensable defender in 2018. He then moved to Sivasspor, where a strong run in early 2020 put him into the conversation for a national-team call-up, prompting him to tell an interviewer that everyone wants to play for their country. He stayed at Sivasspor in July 2023 and signed a fresh one-year contract in August 2024.

His time at Çorum FK did not go to plan. Local papers listed him among the town's largest taxpayers in October 2025, then wrote in January 2026 that the arrival from the top flight had not delivered. His contract was terminated at the start of February 2026 and within days he joined Sarıyerspor together with Aytaç Kara. In June 2026 the club was reported to be keeping him.
