Cem Özer — Biography
Cem Özer (born 5 October 1959) is a Turkish theatre, film and television actor, presenter and writer. His mother is of Armenian descent, while his father is from Kahramanmaraş and of Circassian origin.
He dropped out of the Faculty of Law at Istanbul University and began working at Dostlar Tiyatrosu. He made his acting debut in 1976 with "24 Saat" and became widely known in 1981 as Mülayim in the comedy classic Hababam Sınıfı Güle Güle. On television he consolidated his fame hosting the talk show "Laf Lafı Açıyor".
Since 1976 he has appeared in more than thirty films; among his notable works are Berlin in Berlin (1993), Karışık Pizza (1998), Neredesin Firuze (2004), Adem'in Trenleri (2007) and Tatlı Şeyler (2017). He was married for a time to actress Nurgül Yeşilçay.
