Cemile Canyurt — Biography

Cemile Çiğdem Canyurt, known professionally as Cemile Canyurt, was born on 15 March 1992 in Kırıkkale and spent much of her childhood in Ankara. She discovered theatre at the age of thirteen and later trained with a private theatre group in Ankara. After graduating from the Food Engineering Department of Abant İzzet Baysal University in Bolu, she continued performing in university and private theatre productions and appearing in short films.

After graduation she moved to Istanbul, and in 2016 she entered the improvisational theatre competition at BKM Mutfak with a group she formed with three friends, Geçici Tiyatro, finishing the season in first place. Following that success, she joined BKM Mutfak's development team in 2017, writing and performing sketches, and from 2019 she has been part of the cast of the Kanal D series Çok Güzel Hareketler Bunlar 2 as both an actress and a screenwriter.

Alongside her theatre work, she has also appeared since 2015 in various films and series including İnadına Aşk, Ver Elini Aşk, Şahsiyet, Çok Güzel Hareketler, Ben Gri, and Çöp Adam, and continues to take on new projects.
