Çetin Güngör — Biography

Çetin Güngör was born on 7 June 1990 in Istanbul. He began playing football at İstanbul's Beşyüzevlerspor before joining Galatasaray's youth academy in 2005, where he developed as a defender; his primary position is right-back, though he can also play at left-back. He was promoted from Galatasaray's A2 team to the first team during the 2009-10 season, having made 42 appearances at A2 level.

To gain playing experience, Güngör spent the 2010-11 season on loan at Şanlıurfaspor, then signed a four-year contract with Gaziantepspor in 2011. Struggling for regular first-team football there, he moved to Çaykur Rizespor at the start of the 2012-13 season. Over his career he has also been reported at clubs including Antalyaspor, Adanaspor and Altay, and he has more recently played for Eyüpspor.

At international level, Güngör earned 17 caps as right-back for Turkey's under-19 team and also represented the under-20 national team.
