Deniz Gül — Biography

Deniz Daniel Gül (born 2 July 2004 in Stockholm) is a Sweden-born Turkish international footballer who plays as a centre-forward. He holds both Swedish and Turkish citizenship and stands 1.90 m tall.

He began his career in Sweden in the Hammarby youth setup and went on to play for the club's senior side. After representing Sweden at under-19, under-20 and under-21 level, he opted to play senior international football for Turkey. In August 2024 he joined the Portuguese club FC Porto, appearing both for the B team and in the Primeira Liga.

During the 2026 summer transfer window he became a target for Turkey's leading clubs. Trabzonspor, Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray were all reported to be interested in the young striker; Galatasaray were said to have walked away over the asking price, while the Portuguese press reported on the player's own preferred destination.
