Doruk Çetin — Biography

Doruk Çetin is a Turkish film director, screenwriter, producer, actor and photographer, born on 15 May 1987 in Istanbul. A nephew of Muhsin Ertuğrul, a founding figure of modern Turkish theatre and cinema, and of director Sinan Çetin, he entered the industry in 2005. In 2011, together with manager Ahmet Koraltürk, he founded the Vodvil talent agency, representing actors such as Cemal Hünal, İsmail Hacıoğlu, Berk Oktay and Necip Memili, and in 2015 he set up Miasma Film, a production company with offices in Istanbul and Los Angeles handling advertising and film work; through it he has collaborated with Hollywood make-up artist Jason Lotfi, known for his work with Madonna and Ben Stiller.

Under the Plato Film banner he produced and directed television projects such as Avrupa Yakası and Komedi Dükkanı, as well as commercials for brands including Turkcell, Turkish Airlines, Ülker and Pepsi. As an actor he shared the lead in his uncle Sinan Çetin's film Yankee Go Home alongside Leelee Sobieski and Mehmet Aslan. He has also produced and directed the modified-car show Garaj on Fox Türkiye and the extreme-sports show Extreme-G, made together with Hayko Cepkin.
