Duygu Özaslan — Biography

Born on 17 April 1991 in Istanbul, Duygu Özaslan began studying Spanish Language and Literature at Istanbul University but left before finishing the program. She first drew attention with the makeup videos she posted on a YouTube channel she had started as a hobby, gradually broadening her content to include vlogs and lifestyle videos and quickly becoming one of Turkey's most-followed beauty personalities; a 2018 survey found more than a tenth of respondents followed her, and her channel went on to pass a million subscribers. One study of her videos found that viewers were drawn more to her and to the production quality than to the products being advertised.

In 2020 she faced heavy criticism on social media after photographs of her that differed from those she had posted on Instagram were leaked to the press; she later said the episode was connected to her being diagnosed with bulimia nervosa, for which she said she was receiving treatment. She lost her father in 2021, and in 2022 she married basketball player Can Maxim Mutaf in a three-day wedding celebration in Paris. In autumn 2025 it emerged that she had given testimony in a drug investigation involving several celebrities, and she broke a long public silence to address it. In 2026 she became the Turkish brand ambassador for Vogue Eyewear.
