Enver Cenk Şahin — Biography
Enver Cenk Şahin (born 22 September 1994 in Zonguldak) is a Turkish professional footballer. He stands 1.74 m tall and plays on the right wing and in midfield; English-language sources refer to him simply as Cenk Şahin.
After playing for İstanbul Başakşehir and appearing for the Turkey under-20 team, he moved to FC St. Pauli in Germany. According to reports, in October 2019 he was dropped from the squad by the club following a social-media post supporting Turkey's military operation in northern Syria; his contract was terminated by mutual consent in November 2019. The episode drew wide attention in Turkey, where he was received by the then minister of youth and sport and by the president of the Turkish Football Federation.
After returning to Turkey he was linked with Kayserispor and Gaziantep FK in early 2020; he played for Bursaspor in the 2022-23 season and left the club in July 2023. He was reported to be a free agent in December 2024 and to have signed for İstanbulspor in September 2025.
