Erdal Keser — Biography
Ali Erdal Keser is a former Turkish international footballer and coach, born on 20 June 1961 in Sivas, who played as a forward. Over his career he turned out for Sarıyer, Galatasaray and Germany's Borussia Dortmund, scoring 64 goals in 202 Turkish First League appearances and adding 27 goals in 106 matches during his five seasons at Dortmund.
Fluent in English and German, he spent many years scouting for the Turkish Football Federation, tracking Turkish-descent players abroad and helping bring several of them into the national team setup. He represented Galatasaray at the draw for the club's first-ever UEFA Champions League campaign in the 1993-94 season, and between 2005 and 2007 served as assistant to head coach Eric Gerets at Galatasaray, the club he had once captained.
After his playing days, Keser moved into club management, serving as sporting director of the Swiss side FC Wil 2000 under head coach Fuat Çapa.
