Erkan Mustafa — Biography
Born in London on 14 May 1970, Erkan Mustafa is a British actor and television presenter of Turkish Cypriot heritage best remembered for playing Roland Browning in the BBC's long-running children's drama Grange Hill (1982-1987). His other credits include the "Enormous Orphan" in the television comedy Blackadder's Christmas Carol (1988) and "Otto" in the sitcom Chef! (1991).
In 1993, Channel 4's music show The Word rediscovered him working at a friend's record shop and brought him back into the spotlight. He has repeatedly reunited with the Grange Hill cast over the years, appearing on This Morning's reunion segment in 1998 and the dedicated special Bring Back Grange Hill in 2005, and in October 2009 he hosted a cast reunion at the Sound nightclub in London's Leicester Square.
He continues to team up occasionally with former Grange Hill co-star Lee MacDonald on television projects and has presented for E4 Music. In 2018 he appeared alongside Ronald Forfar and Martin Hancock in the ten-minute short film The All-Nighter.
