Evliya Aykan — Biography

Evliya Aykan was born on 31 August 1992 in Hakkari; he spent part of his childhood in Hakkari and part in Van. He discovered theatre at the age of 13 and pursued it while preparing for conservatory entrance exams, going on to complete the Theatre Department of the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, which he entered in 2011. During his studies he performed on the stages of the Ankara State Theatre and several private theatre companies.

After moving to Istanbul, he made his screen debut in the 2010 series Behzat Ç., later appeared in the series Gülizar, and moved into cinema with the film Organize İşler: Sazan Sarmalı. In 2017 he joined the BKM acting ensemble founded by Yılmaz Erdoğan, and he continues to be part of the cast of the Kanal D programme Çok Güzel Hareketler Bunlar 2.
