Fahri Tatan — Biography
Fahri Tatan (born 30 May 1983 in Rize) is a Turkish former professional footballer and sporting administrator. Standing 1.75 m, he had a long career that ran from the Süper Lig down into the lower divisions and included appearances for the national side.
The clubs he played for include Konyaspor, Yeni Malatyaspor, Sakaryaspor, Erzurumspor and Kartalspor. In early 2017 his contract with Erzurumspor was terminated after he underwent a hair transplant in Istanbul, where he had travelled for treatment, without the club's permission; the episode was widely covered in the Turkish sports press and became one of the most discussed incidents of his career.
After retiring as a player he moved into administration. He served as sporting director of Çaykur Rizespor, the club of his home province, and resigned from that post in April 2022.
