Fatih Akyel — Biography
Fatih Akyel (born 26 December 1977 in Istanbul) is a Turkish football manager and former professional player.
A defender, he spent his 15-year playing career at leading Turkish clubs, most notably Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe. Between 1997 and 2004 he was capped 64 times by the Turkey national team; he won a silver medal with the Olympic team at the 1997 Mediterranean Games and was part of the squads that finished third at the 2002 FIFA World Cup and the 2003 FIFA Confederations Cup.
After retiring he moved into management and coached several clubs; in October 2025 he resigned from his post at Yalova FK.
