Fatih Portakal — Biography
Fatih Portakal (born February 2, 1968, in Nazilli, Aydın) is a Turkish journalist and news anchor. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of İstanbul University.
He began his journalism career in 1996 as a trainee reporter at Star TV, and in 2006 joined the Kanal D news team of Mehmet Ali Birand and Ayşenur Arslan. Alongside reporting, he hosted the radio program Fatih Portakal'la Konuşan Türkiye on Best FM, and in 2009 presented the program Ne Yapmalı? on Kanal D.
In 2010 he moved to Fox TV, where he presented the morning news Çalar Saat and later the main evening bulletin. He has also taught investigative journalism at İstanbul Aydın University. He is married to Armağan Portakal.
