Funda Diken Alkayış — Biography
Funda Diken Alkayış was born on August 15, 1987 in Mersin.
She graduated from the School of Physical Education and Sports at Mersin University.
Having taken up sport in 2009 in order to lose weight, Alkayış gradually turned it into a way of life and competed in kickboxing, Muay Thai and Wushu.
She won the world title in the 50 kg category at the WAKO Kickboxing World Championship, became Turkish champion nine times, and also took world silver and bronze. She won 23 of her 24 bouts, six of them by knockout.
In 2018 she became widely known by joining the Volunteers team in the Survivor competition hosted by Acun Ilıcalı. She is married to Ali Alkayış.
