Furkan Aydoğdu — Biography
Furkan Aydoğdu was born on 6 June 1988 in the Terme district of Samsun, on Turkey's Black Sea coast, and holds dual Turkish and Austrian citizenship. Rather than pursuing a career in Turkish football, he built his playing career in Austria as an attacking midfielder.
He is best known for his spell with FC Eintracht Wien in Vienna, one of many Turkish-Austrian players who came up through the long-established Turkish immigrant communities of Germany and Austria and made their careers in Central European leagues. His dual citizenship reflects that link between his Black Sea birthplace and the Central European football culture in which he was raised.
