Garbis Baklaoğlu — Biography
Garbis Baklaoğlu, known in football circles as "Küçük Garbis" ("Little Garbis"), was a Turkish footballer of Armenian descent born in Istanbul in 1932. He began his career at Şişli Spor Kulübü, one of the city's minority clubs, before going on to play for Taksim, Galatasaray and Vefa.
His only appearance for a national side came with Turkey's B national team on 27 May 1953, in a match against Switzerland played in Zurich. He is remembered as one of the notable minority-background players of 1950s Istanbul football.
