Garbis İstanbulluoğlu — Biography
Garbis İstanbulluoğlu was a Turkish footballer and coach of Armenian descent, born on 24 February 1927 in the Fatih district of Istanbul. Known on the pitch by his nickname "Tenekeci Gabris" ("the Tinsmith"), he represented Turkey's national team before later moving into coaching.
He died in Istanbul on 17 February 1994, and the Turkish Football Federation has continued to commemorate him on the anniversary of his death.
