Gökçe Kırgız — Biography

Gökçe Kırgız (born 6 April 1989 in Istanbul) is a Turkish singer, songwriter and composer, also known after her marriage as Gökçe Kırgız Taner.

She became widely known through a long legal dispute over her stage name: another singer, Merve Doğan, had been performing under the name "Gökçe Kırgız" for years. The lawsuit was concluded in January 2024 in Kırgız's favour, securing her exclusive right to use the name.
