Gülçin Ergül — Biography

Gülçin Ergül was born on 30 October 1985 in Istanbul and spent her childhood immersed in ballet, starting piano at age eight before joining the children's choir and ballet company of the Atatürk Cultural Centre, where she performed for years; she completed secondary school with a focus on ballet and later completed a degree in modern dance at Türkiye's Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.

In 2005 she teamed up with schoolmates Cemre Kemer, Eren Bakıcı and Yasemin Yürük to form the girl group Hepsi, serving as its lead vocalist; the band released three albums and two singles to wide popularity, fronted advertising campaigns for Pepsi and Penti, went on tour alongside Sezen Aksu and later Kenan Doğulu, and saw Ergül play a character sharing her own name across two seasons of the spinoff series Hepsi 1.

After leaving the group in 2009, she launched a solo career with the 2011 EP Bravo!, followed in 2015 by Bir Tanecik Aşkım and a widely popular duet with Harun Kolçak, Ağlat Beni. She has since released the concept album Arabesk and a fourth studio album, Davet, issued on her own birthday, and served as a judge on the talent competition Benimle Söyle.
