Gülçin Yahya Kaçar — Biography
Born in Ankara in 1966, Gülçin Yahya Kaçar is a Turkish oud performer, composer and academic recognized for her work in Turkish classical music. After completing her studies at Gazi University, she built a career spanning both the concert stage and academia, also working as a musicologist focused on Turkish art music.
Holding the title of professor, Kaçar serves as a member of Turkey's Presidential Board of Culture and Art Policies. In July 2026 she was appointed Rector of Ankara Music and Fine Arts University by presidential decree, extending her long-standing commitment to arts education into an institutional leadership role.
