Güneş — Biography

Born Müzeyyen Güneş Taşkıran, the singer grew up in Yenibosna in Istanbul's Bahçelievler district; she became interested in music at nine, began writing lyrics and composing at twelve, and performed on the television talent show The Voice Kids Turkey in 2014. Her sound blends R&B, indie, rap and pop.

She reached a wide audience in 2020 with the duet Dua, recorded with Uzi, which passed 200 million views on YouTube and earned her a best-newcomer award. She released music under the hip-hop collective M.O.B. Entertainment until 2023, when she signed with Sony Music Turkey. In 2022 she was nominated at the Number One Music Awards for best rap singer, best video and best song, and that same year she featured on a Times Square billboard as part of Spotify's EQUAL program supporting women artists, while ranking as Turkey's second most-streamed female artist on the platform.

Her debut album, Atlantis, appeared in 2022 and a second, POP, in 2023. She followed with several singles in 2024, the single Beyaz Sayfalar in 2025, and the EP Ekşimtrak in 2026; her song Suçlarımdan Biri has surpassed 160 million streams on Spotify.
