Halil Altıntop — Biography
Halil Altıntop is a retired professional footballer, born on 8 December 1982 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, who holds both Turkish and German citizenship. Standing 1.86 m tall, he spent his playing career operating as an attacking midfielder, centre-forward or winger.
He represented clubs including Kaiserslautern, Schalke 04, Eintracht Frankfurt, Trabzonspor and Augsburg, and was a long-serving member of the Turkish national team. His identical twin brother, Hamit Altıntop, also built a professional football career.
Since moving into coaching, Altıntop has been associated with Bayern Munich since 2022, working within the club's youth and talent-development set-up.
