Halil İbrahim Dervişoğlu was born on December 8, 1999, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Raised in the Netherlands and playing as a forward, the Turkish international began his career in the youth ranks of his hometown club, Sparta Rotterdam.
He moved to England in 2020 to sign with Brentford, where over three and a half seasons he was loaned out twice to Galatasaray before completing a permanent transfer to the Turkish club in 2023.
A member of the Turkey national team, Dervişoğlu drew transfer interest from several clubs during the 2026 summer window.
