Hasan Okan Gültang — Biography

Hasan Okan Gültang was born on 29 October 1972 in Adana and played as a goalkeeper. Having come through Gençlerbirliği's youth academy, he was known as one of Turkish football's most frequently transferred players despite never appearing for any of the so-called "big four" clubs. With the national team he was the starting goalkeeper for the squad that won the 1993 Mediterranean Games, and served as backup to Rüştü Reçber during 1994 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying and to Engin İpekoğlu during UEFA Euro 1996 qualifying. He earned his only senior cap for Turkey on 8 March 1995, in a match against Israel.

After ending his playing career, Gültang moved into coaching and has continued working in football in that capacity.
