Hasan Özer — Biography

Hasan Özer (born 1 October 1974 in Siirt) is a Turkish former international footballer and football manager. He played as a forward; English-language sources describe him as being of Kurdish descent. His elder brother Mustafa Özer was also a professional player and a Turkey international.

As a player he appeared for Altay, Antalyaspor, Çaykur Rizespor, Trabzonspor, Gaziantepspor and Elazığspor, and won caps for the senior national team. Known for his acrobatic ability, he scored a number of bicycle kicks during his career, among them goals against Altay and Ankaragücü in 2002 and against Göztepe in 2003.

After retiring he turned to management. He was head coach of Yeni Malatyaspor in December 2022, took charge of Altınordu in March 2023 and parted company with that club in May 2023.
